WORLD TOWN CRIER TOURNAMENT 1 CENTRE STAGE, TOWN HALL SQUARE

SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS!

Oyez! Oyez! Forty town criers will descend on Chester to compete in the Chester World Town Crier Tournament, taking place on ‘Centre Stage’ outside the Town Hall… come along and experience the flamboyant, eccentric, loud and colourful cries of the Town Criers.

With participants travelling from America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand as well as many other European countries this truly is an international event. The tournament consists of three rounds taking place before the Saturday 19th June final. Who will be your winner?

Tuesday 15th June at ‘Centre Stage’ by the Town Hall -
11am – 1pm and 3pm – 5pm

Thursday 17th June at ‘Centre Stage’ by the Town Hall - 11am – 1pm and 3pm – 5pm

Friday 18th June at ‘Centre Stage’ by the Town Hall -
11am – 1pm and 3pm – 5pm

Saturday 19th June The Final at ‘Centre Stage’ by the Town Hall - 11.30am – 1.30pm

THIS EVENT IS FREE!

The Belgian Championship of Town Criers will be held on May 1 in Genk.
Jempi Trippaers, the Town Crier of Genk, invites you all on this championship.
"The Cries" will take place at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Town Square (Stadsplein).
